This version of menasaur is bad ass! best one so far. that with this Bruticus version ZETA TOYS ZA-07 BRUTICON ( METALLIC VERSION ). Perfection. Definitely getting these two.

I really like how the bots look by themselves. Very sleek and good proportions all around. Though I find the back fins on the race car guy look out of place standing up in the air.

Hey Ben great review of combined mode. I think this IDW version of Menasor is awesome and TFM did a great job overall. However to not test the stability of the figure in pre production and to have to send out replacement lower limb sections is bad, great that they recognised it and sent them out but to have not test whether they actually fit and for us to have to modify the pieces to me is unacceptable when they should have got it right from the outset, when we are paying such prices for third party figures. I really do hope that their Defensor is well designed and engineered and doesn’t have this type of issue as they the aesthetics of their figures are great.

Other than nodding something for Wildrider to fit, seems like yours is doing better, Ben. Saw Bobby Skullface's review & he had a hard time getting his to stand. Idk what TFM's deal is, as far as posing him & getting him to look like a mess, but their ratchets should've been better than this.

Great review....I have this set and because of the fail combiner display Alt modes which looks awesome but $500 awesome hmmm that's up for debate. Here's hoping Zeta Toys produces all G1 combiners! Can't wait for GCreations SixShot

sorry to inform you ben, when you cut those pegs off you defeat the entire purpose of them. they are supposed to be extremely tight and push the bottom down. maybe you can try to get some new ones n not cut them this time.

+Talisac80 they don’t fit at all they are extremely tight now before they actually damaged the plastic on the underside of the vehicles making peg indents were they don’t line up correctly

I've just received the chrome version of this figure Ben. Can you tell me if it has those issues fixed? I've seen some reviews that are not convincing. These review and Emgo's review are more precise. Love this set

I don't like the giant gap in the sword when extended. It's too short and stubby for the combined mode if not extended. Also, I really don't like needing to much around with a screwdriver to put it in combined mode. They really didn't think this one through...

Hi Ben! Nice review, I just want to tell you that you forgot to extend the flaps in the crotch piece of Havoc and Revolt's hips shift to the side in arm mode, so they are not in the way when you move the arm forward or backward!

I came to mention the same, motor masters combiner legs also have a small panel behind the knee that folds down over the tab at the top of the calf that it looks like you forgot. Minor stuff.

First off, combiner wars. Second, it seems most people hate him because they transform him the way hasbro does, which is a stupid way to transform him. If you mess with his legs ( straighten them out and have the back of motor masters legs as the front of menasors legs) then he should look pretty good.

I disagree, GT Devi is the best option on the market (Though Constructor is the better scale,) and the GT and TFM engineering, if not the Warbotron stuff, is always great and interesting. Their Devi and Menasor have flaws but nothing deal breaking, for me at least and their non-combiner IDW stuff is some of the most interesting on the market.

GT Devastator's Scrapper knee totally untransforms when you try to move the knee/leg at all (bad engineering), along with MANY other issues this set has - it is a very bad set, for my copy at least. Bonecrusher's arms were godawful, there were some very derpy alt modes, etc etc. It may be a good shelf item in Dev mode but that doesn't cut it for TF collecting for some people.
