Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt signed a bill affecting girls high school sports and women's college sports and trans athletes looking to compete on those teams.
During a press conference, Stitt said "men are biologically different from women," adding that they have "physical advantages over women on the field."
"So, how is it fair for female track athletes or swimmers who have been training since they were 12-year-old to lose in a high school competition to lose to a biological male. It's not."
The Save Women's Sports Act, otherwise known as Senate Bill 2, will ban high school and college athletes from competing on teams different from their gender assigned at birth.
