TRANSIBERICA 2021 | Film

Short summary of 2021 edition of Transibérica.
Transiberica is the longest challenge that we organize.
The fourth edition of Transibérica had 63 riders from 15 nationalities had 9 Chekpoints along northern Spain and an average of 2950km and 40.000m elevation gain.
This edition had Ordesa (CP2) like the gravel section with two different downhill options that made the route even more challenging, the CP3 was Bardenas Reales with another 30 gravel kilometers.
The start and finish were in Bilbao and Ulrich Bartomeus was the first rider to arrive in Bilbao after 6 days and 14 hours and 1 min, after he has very important mechanical issues before CP5, he lost over 24h and moving down till 7th position fixing it.
Fanny Bensussan was the first solo female finisher ever in Transibérica (and 9th in this edition). 8D 00H 38Min

basically a pretty cool video, but what's that face-mask-nonsense in the beginning? So ridiculous.. maybe they also should wear that nonsense crap also during cycling... rolleyes

it is how the rules were at that time in this area, "mandatory face mask indoors or closed spaces". That's why its how it is

it was nonsense, but those were the rules Spanish Govt kept in place. If Transiberica wanted to hold the event, they had to comply.

​@@IgnacioGlezCllo That's the problem, 'we' all did nonsense just to be able to do what we wanted... if no one would have done that nonsense, we also could have done what we wanted... ;-) What if someone soon makes the rule to wear a pink hat and jump on one leg for being allowed to do what we want? ;P

@@hellebarde1450 mate, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Spain had some of the most draconian measures in place for the longest, and people complied; tells you everything you need to know about social experiments.
