Ajay, some information about Vietnam history. The northern part was communist controlled, and capital was Hanoi during the 1960s to the 1980s. Their leader was Ho Chi Minh. The south portion was under western countries control called South Vietnam Nam, whose capital was Saigon. For many years the communists and the western countries led by US fought each other and in the end the US lost. The two Vietnams were United as independent country with Hanoi as capital. During US control of South the major US military base was at Danang. The communist controlled army was called Vietcong. In Coimbatore in TN, there is a slum area and even today it’s called Ho Chi Minh Nagar, located under the railway line on the CBE North-Mettupalayam route.
