Transiting Iraq

We entered Federal Iraq from Kuwait. Honest to say that we were a bit apprehensive as to how the transit through Iraq would be. We crossed in three days (Iraq is still a “red” country for NL, which impacts validity of medical/travel insurance etc). As such, we only visited Ur as it was on the route and not the many many other historical sites. It is devastating to see what war does to a country. We were also very surprised to see such a difference between Federal Iraq and Kurdistan. Throughout the crossing we only met very friendly, welcoming and proud people. We wish all the people of Iraq all the very best in rebuilding their country. We only filmed from within the truck and want to share our “roadside” impression with you.
