+Empressive if you want to get your hair thicker use Jamaican black castor oil and coconut oil together massage into the scalp with your finger pads for 3-5 minutes 2-3 times a week and keep doing it until you get the desired thick ness i hope this helps

As someone who had a successful 24+ month transition (I ended with arm pot length natural hair), the key is simple consistency. Do protective styles (wigs, braids,buns) as they make the time pass a WHOLE lot easier but don't put stress on your hair (tight edges, flat ironing leave out)! as long as you wash and deep condition at least every two weeks,moisturize at least 2-3 times a week,and stop worrying over your hair, you will get over the hump. ps: deep conditioning can be hectic,so keep your hair in twists! perfect style under wigs!

Do you have any more tips??? I wear wigs very often but I'm trying to find new ways to keep my hair put up but promote growth
@mariemakesmagicx1913
@mariemakesmagicx1913 8 жыл бұрын
wearing my natural hair in flat twists or braids was one of my fave protective styles, but overall everything I said at first, except to remember to love your hair. I used to do flat twist n curls(with perm rods), i would wear messy buns(all the time), braids, tried flexi rod sets, pretty scarves to tie it up, and things like that. Also if you arent comfortable with your length get some kinky extensions. One of my fave styles tho is making a curly crochet wig! (on just a simple net, super quick, just make sure to space out the hair and cut well!) I could use perm rods on the front of my hair, bantu know, or braid it to make it blend so that I still had a curly natural hair look. My favorite is the outre bohemian curl(super long but I always cut in half, still long tho). Try to enjoy the styles and experiment, but dont feel the need to constantly switch it up.

+MarieMakesMagic x so it isn't good for the hair to be constantly braided? And you don't use heat right? I had intentions of cutting out flat ironing and blow drying entirely
@TanieyaJeff
@TanieyaJeff 8 жыл бұрын
MarieMakesMagic x thanks for these tips! I'm 13 months post and debating on getting curly extensions next or straight hair. Even though I want the straight hair, I think I should avoid using heat on my leave out and just get curly hair. I'm wearing box braids now though

just a helpful hint deep condition as often as you wash your hair. is is extremely important. a wash off conditioner can only put but so much into the hair strands. a DC (deep condition) only takes 15 minutes under a dryer or an hour if you have to do work around the house etc

yay! I have been watching you since when you were doing your relaxer updates. You're going to see so much growth and thickness which I am sure you've noticed already. You have a gorgeous texture, when you're finished transitioning every once in a while you should wear your hair in its natural state like a wash and go. And yessss trims make all the difference in the world. If more people stopped being afraid of trims the more progress they would see on their overall health and growth!

It is so much healthier and easier to tend to your natural hair/hair period in sections, it definitely ensures that all sections of the hair are treated and equally vitalized. Hair burns at 451 degrees gal...you might want to turn your flat iron down to protect your growth.Good job!

Yes mam! Your hair is so healthy, and Im always asking myself why my hair wont grow passed a certain length and I realized it was the little things like that, not-properly uninstalling my sew ins and inconsistencies in my product usage that was stopping my hair growth. Ive been natural since 2009, chopping, and flipping honey but I finally decided to just leave it alone. And let it grow. Im using cream of nature now and Originals Best hair mayonnaise and cholesterol tea tree oil. It hydrates the hair....omgosh. Im thinking of doing my hair journey maybe like a journal. I would love to track my hair and see just where I go wrong...lol#Girl problems.

Your hair is beautiful- I need to get that flat iron. I haven’t used a relaxer since august. 🎉

Hey Lakia. Just Some product suggestions that you may want to try are the Cream of Nature Argan Oil line. I myself switch up products to see what works best for my hair and their shampoo,conditioner, and leave in conditioner are really good.

I love how full and thick your hair is. I'm 16 months post relaxer and I'm getting my first Silk Blowout this weekend can't wait ☺️. I doubt I'll ever relax my hair again.
