Otis SIDEWAYS "funicular" elevator @ San Diego Convention Center - San Diego CA

Filmed in December 2020.
Instead of traveling up and down, this "elevator" goes from SIDE TO SIDE on guided tracks! The counterweight and other elevator components you don't normally get to see are in full public view. These have a special name: "Funicular". They save space as opposed to traditional elevators when it comes to traveling a long distance. when the 1st and 2nd floor landings are far away.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In the video, I label this elevator as an "Inclinator." This is the wrong term. Inclinator is a company that specializes in home elevator installation.

This Incline Elevator looks like the one at the Huntington Metro Station in Washington D.C. and the City-Place Metro Station in Dallas TX.
