These Mystery Gift events are what really made me enjoy Pokémon when I was a little kid, to discover all these secret events, Mythical Pokémon and super rare and unique things about this game that almost felt endless in how much there was to discover, thanks to these distributions. And now, an extremely talented group of people brought all these memorable events back to the surface for everyone to enjoy once again. I can't thank you all enough for making me feel like a curious child all over again :')

Was just over on Twitter seeing people talking about how Gens 4 and 5 had better events than modern ones. I pointed out Gen 3 did it better because of repeatable events like the Channel Jirachi or the Colosseum Bonus Disc Celebi and Pikchu. And then I get a Notification of the Legend himself uploading a video about Gen 3 events finally getting some further closure after being left semi-complete last time. That's made my day. On a side note, is there any way these ROMs can be used via Emulators? I've got an emulated playthrough in the works and just don't have access to a flash card to use the ROMs in official hardware. Or a recommended emulator if that might be my problem or something.

I have used VBA link in the past to test and send over the wonder cards. It is not super reliable, but after a few tries it will probably send over

All of them are able to be transferred to Pokémon Home! Some will be flagged illegal by PKHeX, but they can be transferred to the latest gen just fine

12:40 I'm more versed in Gen 2's Z80-like assembly code, so I might be missing something here, but would it not have been easier to just keep incrementing this counter endlessly and just checking the 2nd least significant bit to see which serial number to send? That would still create a situation where 00 and 01 yield the first code, 10 and 11 yield the second code, and you don't have to care about anything beyond those two least significant bits because you can just and with %00000010 each time and see if the result sets the Zero flag (or whatever the GBA's equivalent would be).

Apologies in advance for my ignorance here, as I am not experienced with both the code involved, nor the send/receive protocol... Just curious, since you already determined the language of the game you were sending the aurora tickets to earlier in the sequence; wouldn't it have been more optimal to send the language-corresponding aurora ticket graphic option using that info, instead of cycling through all of them?

14:06 is the "now sending" part coded to capitalize every word? in German, title casing is not really a thing, or rather title casing = sentence casing, "wird gesendet" reads much more naturally in lowercase, same goes for other European langauges.

We mainly took inspiration from the official Aurora Ticket rom which Capitalizes both Now and Sending, I guess you can say we like to keep things even haha

About the Altering Cave rom, according to Bulbapedia, numerous Pokemon were planned to be housed here, yet I can only find Mareep. Any plans to enable access to all the others?

You can get a different pokemon by talking to the delivery man again. Everytime you talk to the delivery man, it will change the pokemon in the altering cave. I'll add this information in the github to explain this more for future users

It means that it was never released in that way. Let's take the Old Sea Map for example. The Old Sea Map was only released for Japan, so the other languages will be flagged illegal by PKHeX because it was never released. Gamefreak is not so strict and you can send all these event Pokémon over to the latest gen just fine
