Thank you for this! I figured this out prior starting to my first pattern with words on it. I need a refresher every time I start a new project because I’m terrified of messing it up! Great instructions.

Glad this was helpful. You shouldn't be afraid of mistakes......we just call those learning exercises and frog or tink them away.

Glad it was helpful. I have other videos that are intended for left handed knitters. They may be helpful too.

Thank you SO much for making this for us lefties. It's so hard to figure out sometimes what to do. I have a double-knitting pattern (it has an initial on it) and the letter came out backwards. Do you have any advice on how to fix this?

Glad this was helpful. About the knit project, if it is true double knitting, the reverse should be correct. If you mean 2 color knitting then there is no fix except to start over. I only use charted patterns when there are directional details. It saves having to translate.

@@justnorthofthebend9152 I never expected to hear back so soon! Thank you so much! It must be two colour knitting. Since you knit in the opposite direction, would you then cast on with the opposite colour? 🤔

@@kylie6243 You probably want to knit the pattern as written until you get to the initial. Chart the initial and use that to knit the initial. A link to the pattern would be helpful.

@@justnorthofthebend9152 I wouldn't mind linking it, however it's a paid pattern. :(

@@kylie6243I often take the chart in the pdf and invert it in the print settings. This makes it easy to remember what to do instead of counting on yourself to remember to work in the opposite direction!

After more than 60 years of knitting from patterns translating to left handed is almost 2nd nature now. This one took a bit of thought though.
