I've interpreted this song as a past lover of the mother who the mom broke off with because they complained about how she showed more attention to her child than them obsessively. So to take the anger out, they stalked and killed her but they are distraught and insane afterwards so they decide to use this obsessive "love" out on the child instead since it is the closest thing to their partner ironically and it seems like they have nobody else to save them from the ex.

I've been listening to this remake like a few months ago and here are my thoughts so sorry if my English is bad. It's my second language WARNING:SEWERSLIDE AND DEPRESSION The mom is feeling depressed. The stalker is the depression " 'Cause I want her all to myself. She likes to be loved by me" meant that the mom keeps thinking about depression and sewerslide. So much that the depression itself stated "If she falls off a cliff like that, Then there will be nothing left of her" means that once she off herself, it means he is done "loving" her or won her heart "You" is her child.
