This strange tramway does not use conventional rail instead opting for a single rail to guide a bus like vehicle that draws power just like a regular tram (from above). The tramway uses Translohr rubber-tyred system.

Very interesting concept! I can imagine that such a streetcar would brake and accelerate much faster than a conventional one. It must as well be better at climbing gradients, but it also lacks the energetic advantage of “iron on iron”. Furthermore, this system requires a completely paved driveway while a regular streetcar can roll on rails in the middle of nowhere. After all, it depends on the situation which system is ideal for a city.

You can clearly see it's bumpy uncomfortable ride, how somewone compares this horrible thing with a conventional tramway, its riding quality so low, a rubber tired thing can not ride as smooth as tram on rails!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can see clearly that the bumpy uncomfortable ride is due to the condition of the road, how someone like you is biased towards a fairly new type of tramway, its been proven that a rubber tired vehicle can ride as smooth or better than a conventional rail vehicle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
