not sure what you are talking about, but the recall from Harbor Freight as far as I'm aware are for Jackstands and not Floor Jacks. Also, might not matter much, but probably better to put the leveler gauge on the Transmission itself. Replace all washers Drain bolt washer = 94109-20000 (32 ft lb) Fill plug washer = 94109-20000 (32 ft lb) Check bolt washer= 90442-R7G-000 (9ft lb)

When I had my DC5, I did this fluid swap to solve my 3rd gear “pop out”. Not only did it solve it, but it made the tranny so buttery and satisfying to shift. So sad it was totaled 2 years later. Best mod for $50.

Sorry to hear it got totaled. What happened?

@@Camhill182 I got rear ended by a truck and it bent the chassis inward. That’s always a totaled from the insurance standpoint. I wanted to fix it, but it would have had a salvage title forever, so I got the insurance money and got a GR86.

#44 like .. the ACdelco 75w-80 is great for the Torque Converter but if you go to say 75w-70 it helps the impeller so it spins faster and helps the Planetary Gears and it wont ware out the Torque converter clutch as easy as it did with the honda SI clutch plates...

The AC Delco is what GM Synchromesh was. Just under the AC Delco brand name. I know people like it, not sure if its better than Amsoil Synchromesh, or Redline MTL.

Try AMSOIL manual transmission synchromesh fluid. It’s way better than AC Delco
@walahmelons5504 Жыл бұрын
Let me preface this by saying I thought all the other fluids people used besides OEM wouldn't really make much of a difference. Well I decided to try Amsoil out of wanting to try something new for fun. I changed mine from OEM to Amsoil and I felt a HUGE difference right away. It is so much smoother with the synchromesh compared to the OEM fluid. And the OEM fluid I drained only had 10k miles on it. I haven't even tracked my car just normal daily driving and rowing through the gears feel like a hot knife going through butter.

I have never done Transmission Fluid but I can tell you that the oil is even easier...I got to the point where I don't trust Honda dealerships or oil change shops. I guarantee they aren't paying a "master tech" to do oil, but someone that doesn't care about your car more than you do...I know when I do it myself in 07' Si and 14' CR-V it's done right. I take my time and do it early AM on the weekend so I can do it with a clear mind.

BIG note too, remember never to quick shift any performance car until you've completed a 10min warm up drive*. Seriously, every platform ever is like this. Warm up your car, and quick shift after as a general rule. (Metal physics, heat, pressure performance are what engineers consider and design modern engines based on) Other variables too obviously! Cheers man

You have car ramps. Why on earth would you jack up your car and then put the ramps under the tires instead of just driving up onto them? Not sure about the choice of fluid. At least if you were still under warranty you should be using the OEM Honda fluid. If not, Redline MTL is often spec'd for this transmission.
