I do not know why Eusebiu did not make it clear that Transnistria did indeed get free gas and electricity. It was not cheap, it was free. Moldova paid for all the gas and electricity despite not controlling the territory.

Because they don't owe it. The debt is a figment of Gazprom's imagination. Gazprom created a debt for Austria a couple of months ago.

Moldova doesn't have debt for gas. The debt was invented by Russia. Moldovagaz is a company belonging to Gazprom. So Gazprom owns a debt to himself. Moldova did an international audit and they can provide documentation only for 8 millions and Moldova has agreed to pay it.
