Big B, this is really helpful . What you don’t mention is that you are extremely skilled with years of practice !! It takes skill to do what you do . Very appreciative of you sharing how to do things with detailed explainations .

This process looks hard but it's actually very simple once you understand the process. Good luck my fried

Your channel provides a valuable service that no one does as well as you . Thats alot of aluminum hanging off the back of this Hydro . SMC batteries considering they are often the heaviest will be a good counter balance for good CG but you already have this under control , can hardly wait till it hits the water .

You can also use modeling clay in the drilled holes to preserve the holes before the layup

Oh yeah that would have worked perfectly. Thanks for the tip

B - those are called “pinking shears”. They minimize the unraveling of fabric. Not sure how well it will work in carbon fiber. My sister used a pair for her dress making.

You either have really big balls or a very comfortable sofa! 😂 I’m considering major surgery on my Motley Crew. I think I’ll cut out the tub, pull out the stuffing tube and reinforce the bottom with carbon fiber. The hull is fiberglass, but if I take Bill O’s suggestion on motor/esc/prop, I’m concerned about strength. Videos are very helpful.

I say go for it! That tub should have never been in that boat. Good luck

Sweeeet, thanks for showing us the details 👍 Wish I had reinforced my shrimp rigger motor mount, things turned out kinda catastrophic, don’t know what I was thinking. I used thin burch plywood on the transoms of the BJ24 V1 Again thanks for showing us the details Big B BGFL

Good tips, B, especially about the wash cloth 😂. Just kidding. The amount of epoxy to cloth ratio 👍. I always mix too much.

If you get rid of the wife you don't have anyone yelling at you about using her towels but the down side is the towels you do have are usually rags.😊

Have you try getting carbon fiber from Total Boat. I don't know if it be any cheaper or not.
@IRONCLADRC2 ай бұрын
I have not, I'm very familiar with that company though, used total boat resins for years on my 1:1 bass boat
