Public announcements usually are female voices, that's nothing new, though in stations generally different voices are for different platforms

There aren’t many male onboard announcers anymore. Reminds me of when Phil Sayer voiced the 450 and 444 units.

Yes, I can understand why female voices are preferable, but as long as they have a clear voice and do not sound annoying I don't really think gender matters.
