Time to play musical Plants again, this time with boxwood balls! Then we plant out two of the quart pot hydrangeas we just got through mail order to replace some daylilies that require more maintenance. it's a beautiful day for gardening!

Yay! Great decision to relocate plants in spots that even look better than before! Since digging is getting harder for me, I have pre-dug out holes even a day before replanting for less labor on my back. It makes it easier especially being busy with other errands that have to be completed. Gardening is so rewarding.

Love the idea of the topiary boxwood replacing the one that doesn't quite show up. I think it's a lovely choice and will add a bit of interest to that corner! In the way back is looking absolutely lovely Soleil! It has come a long way this year.

A thought - you could install a rain barrell to that downspout. It may not be the prettiest thing at the corner of your house, but it would allow you to catch Nature's Liquid Gold as well as help to offset the excess water on those 2 or 3 boxwoods. I'll be installing a rain barrell at my home next year hopefully. Good luck. Your home and gardens are beautiful!

Need your advice, I had a Mini Mauvette hydrangea under a dogwood, this first year it has browned and is not thriving. Help.

Could be needing more water due to the dogwood getting bigger, but it is also normal for the blooms to turn brown this time of year. 🤗
