You definitely got your stretches and exercises in with that Redbud. Maybe add a little mulch around it to help hold moisture. That way you could see it better and less chance of somebody running over it out there all by itself!!! Such a fun memory to have of playing in the trenches! That looked like a lot of fun. Benjamin is such a great little helper. He’s always helping Momma with whatever she’s doing. I think that is wonderful and he’s learning so much. Greetings from Windermere, Florida zone 9b I admire you and Aaron forming a TEAM LABOUTTIERRE. My husband and I owned a florist and later on a farm and orchard. Rick was logistics and I was creative and workhorse. I did a lot of heavy work and asked for help when I needed. Rick isn't naturally creative, but he added input. We had defined roles, but helped each other. We were very successful. You two are amazing and doing so well. We are still pursuing our own passions with YT channels, but just for fun! I had to chuckle at you digging up the Red Bud tree. I've been there because I am too hard headed to stop and ask for help. Now I'm about to be 64 years old and still haven't learned to ask for help 😕. My son gets on to me all the time. Positive side is I'm a lot more active than all the women I know..even a few years younger. I can still step on the truck tire and climb over into the bed of the truck 😳. Oh honey, NOooo. I was staring at the heavy equipment right behind you as you were trying to muscle that redbud out! I know the excavator was too big to help, but a backhoe could’ve done that job in about 2 minutes. I am lucky enough to have access to heavy equipment and always use it if I can to help in bigger transplanting jobs. I'm just like that. I will never ask for help and I will give it my everything for something that I truly love to do. I'm almost fifty now and I'm still going strong. If I don't know something I will learn it, if I learn it I will do it and when I do it I will finish it. That's how I roll. Oh Laura, I was watching with dreaded anticipation that the shovel was going to SNAP😲 No wonder you snapped back so quickly after having Samantha Grace, you get the most amazing workouts in the garden!😅 Even Benjamin gets great exercise..running, lifting heavy rocks🏃‍♂️🏋‍♂️ Love watching everything come together ❤

I laughed out loud when you almost did the splits trying to get that redbud tree out! I know your pain! Over the weekend I removed a small Japanese Maple that hasn’t grown in 6 years all by myself! I just channeled my inner Laura and got to digging. It took me about a half hour but once it was out I felt like Wonder Woman because I didn’t ask the hubs for help. However, unlike you I immediately went inside and took a nap. 😂 I discovered your channel last year when the pandemic started and the world stopped. You’ve helped me rediscover my love for gardening. I really didn’t realize how much I’ve missed it. Thank you for all you do.❤️🌸🌻🌺

Wow! That trenching work is massive! Fun time for Benjamin and cat peeking. What a big garden and great to be able to do as you please, and of course with the support of family and friends. Spring has really sprung. Thanks for the update and inspiration.

I just love your attitude. I think you and Aaron make an awesome team. I love that he is a future problem solver and but putting in the infrastructure it will actually get your beautiful creative ideas flowing, whereas you may not even think of an idea based on the lack of water/electricity. Go TEAM LA!!! I have to admit, I may have laughed a little harder than necessary watching you digging the tree, you reminded me of a cartoon character that way your body handled the shovel, at any moment I could see you being flung into the tree. Mind you, I have a very good imagination and a great sense of humour. QUESTION: What is the mulch made of? It looks great!!!
