Excellent product both of them.I used 150 for a year now bought a 180 few weeks ago and this is my best welding machine ever i used!(of course its better than all of high end brand dealers like: Jasic,Kemppi etc) Really awesome good work!

ChuckE2009 on KZbin was running 1/8" low hydrogen rod on the 180 from a 20 amp 120 volt outlet on his portable welder. That is only 2400 watts maximum. Is this possible? What is the duty cycle? Will low voltage hurt it? Does this use super capacitors?

Yes it is possible due to high technology components used for the machine and also using PFC (power factor correction) - which allows us to keep the power losses at a minimum - the machine is built for the mobile use so also any low/high voltage cannot hurt the machine

sir can this be used in pipe welding full weld??? how many duty cycle of this machine???

The machine can also be used in pipe welding - depending on the material thickness and the maximum output of the machine according to the existing power supply at site. The duty cycle also depends on the mains supply - but e.g. @230V 16A fuse you have 40% @ 180A and @120V 20A fuse you have 40% @ 170A - so the machine is high efficient in using the available power supply in the best way possible

Does this machine have fuses in it or thermal protection built in to protect it from overheating? Very few people will have a 240 volt circuit fused at 20 amp (the lowest standard 240 in the US); most will have a 30 amp or 50 amp.

The machine has no fuses inbuilt - the regulation is done on the software side because we measure the input current from the mains supply. So it is no problem if you have a supply with a higher fuse amp rate. Further but independent from the mains supply we have a thermal protection and also an over voltage protection included in the machine. Most of the European market has 16A or less mains fuse protection on single phase supply.

Can it weld from a 110v receptacle. Or does it require a 220 volt power source?

Yes, with the TP 180 you can weld with 110v (120a), with the TP 150 also with 110v (60a).

Are you saying 110 volts at 120 amps? And 110 volts at 60 amps? The most any 110/120 volt line in the US is fused for is 30 amps, and it has to be run with 10 gauge wire, which very few people will have.

Why do an add when no one sells them. You can’t buy one or shop there line. No price. No one responds to e-mail. Would hate to get one then try to get it serviced or repaired.

Got one response so far from Fronius rep e-mail. No help at all. Told him my criteria asked for the best machine for that application. Got no answers to my question, no dealers, no prices, no suggestions on a machine that would work.
