Tip about Stops: Train and/or Truck: When deleting the old stop a sign thing pops up and when placing the new stop, the configuration of the old stop will be transferred to the new one. No need to reconfigure the line. The configuration will be saved as long as this sign/pin is displayed.

You may want to take a look at Loughton Station. The pax trains are using the same platform. The old cargo platforms need to be reconfigured to pax platforms and the two pax lines split between platforms.

great episode again, as usual, but i want to mention u might want to consider to revisit the new trainstop to loughton. it would be good to choose the other pax platform. right now 2 lines share the same plattform blocking each other. its not a super issue, but can improve overall running. i mean there is no harm and only beneficial futureproof in changing it :D

As an Austrian it's so nice to see the 1042's on the Pax-Line! It's THE austrian locomotive! It was introduced in the 1960s and was planned, built and used for heavy cargo hauling, especially over the mountainridge Semmering, south of Vienna. In the 1990s many of them got modernised (now called 1142) and were then used as universal-locomotives for cargo and passager. After the introduction of the multipurpose locomotive 1116 (called "Taurus", Railjet-locomotive) in the early 2000s, the 1042s were used especially for passenger lines, because its characteristics were suitable for a push-pull train system. Nowadays you can find the 1142s still in use around Vienna, Linz and Graz on local/regional passenger lines. So much nostalgia, so much history, so much memories! Love it!

I think the Romney-Leigh busses are still old ones. They were 21 years old when you looked at them so bigger, faster ones might take some of the pressure off of that stop. Also, you could have done a Romney-Thatchem-Loughten line instead because Romney-Thatchem is looking like a busy bus line as well.

Looks like your new high speed line is using the same passenger platform as the other passenger line that heads the other direction. Around 46:40 you can see the other train coming in from the top of the screen and stop when it got to the last signal before the station, because the high speed train was taking up the platform.
@Nic0maK3 жыл бұрын
One tip for bus/truck stops, you can double them, one on each side of the road, it still counts as one station. When laying the route, it often picks the better side of the road.
@henshel64613 жыл бұрын
Not sure if you are aware, but you do not need road between stations. They can form connections between each others just being really close to each other. You can see that by seeing them forming footpaths between each other.

I'm liking this series a lot, great work! And I'm really appreciating the tutorial-like style, I think it is very effective in attracting new players, and about that, may I suggest you to use the "rate" feature in order to sort out how many trains/trucks you actually need? It is an incredible quality of life feature! You don't need to eyeball anymore

Yes, the tutorial style that many streamers use are funny. Most viewers have already played the game a few times and are better at it than the streamers that play many different games. It gives a good laugh. I think all the good comments here demonstrates it perfectly. Some of the comments have been made before; but the good squirrel haven't noticed.

Hi Squirrel, I love the series and set it up for me to try your challange as well. I have a small tip for you. You can connect train stations directly to a bus or tram station. The little footpads will also appear if you get the train station close enough to the bus station, this way you don't "waste" money on the little bits of road

Hello Squirrel, I have a suggestion for Airplanes. If you look at Sandhurst, you can make a train line to take wood to the lumberyard for planks, then ship them across the river to make tools, you can run trucks north to Bradford and South to Sandhurst for tool deposits. Then if you make a small cargo airport at the tool area you can run it to the north east of the map to Maplethorpe to supply it with tools by Airplane and have it collect some Fuel on the return journey to feed Bradford by Truck. Let me know your thoughts. I am currently setting it up on my playthrough.

why can't you just make a big express line? start at loughton to mabel to thatcham where the line can split. one heading to the coast and hitting the city's/ the 2nd main line from princess to mitch. where it then heads to mitch. ( All the 2 lines will connect, not separate tracks) the 1st line can continue to ashlym and princess. Tracks 1-2 Maybe (express 1) ( Main line 1) Loughton to Mable to thatcham to ashylm to Princess tracks 3-4 Maybe (express 2) (Main line 1) Loughton to Mable to Thatcham to Romsey to Leigh/ or mitch perhaps (express 3) (Main line 2) Princess to Bradford to leigh to mitch. kinda by doing this, it brings everything together, just not all together. All are connected like real life. Multiple lines do connect at some point and you can train hop from one express to another to get to your desired spot. this is just a suggestion. Also sorry for the spelling of the city names.

I don't really understand why you are making the incoming rail merge and not the outgoing. The incoming lines are probably at top speed and the outgoing are just leaving at low speed and will not have to slow down. It would make things a bit faster I would say.

@dux85293 жыл бұрын
I know you like to do as straight a railroad line as possible to get the most profit but I'm surprised you don't do any triangle intersections with the railways. When I set up my passenger rails and my busses(if I'm doing a circuit) is I like to have two lines, one going clockwise and one counterclockwise and if the middle gets saturated you can add a third line to supplement. Also I was thinking about the benefit of trams and the only thing I can think of is that trams can turn on a dime at the end of a tram line, so maybe it's better for a hub and spoke system?

Just A thought. sorry if it's been covered but when you have two bus routes in a city one is a loop and one a shuttle bus to the train station. Isn't it a good idea for the city loop to have at least one common bus stop with the shuttle bus to the train station. That way people can get to the train station from anywhere in the city by changing busses at the common bus stop. Maybe its not needed for the game but if i was planning a city in real life that would probabaly happen. ref: Aylesham at time 17:36

A little question to ppl in comments (or maybe even Squirrel can chime in): For roads I notice squirrel taking the 4-lane instead of the 6-lane, what I do is have 6 lanes for country and cities and a few 4 lanes in cities, with the understanding that more lanes mean less traffic congestion at junctions so it will not slow my trucks and buses... Will it govern traffic a bit better or have no effect other than cosmetic?

Do you know you can see how fast a train gets up to speed ? Bottom right of the train when creating it, where it says total power, and "Excellent", "Mediocre", and such things about the power of your train, if you hover your mouse over that it says how fast you get up to speed! If they make a Transport Fever 3, they should definitely make vehicle accidents occur and have a random chance for a vehicle to break down and require replacement. I just thought of this. It would be epic. Also would force a person to make multiple ways in and out of certain areas of the map, since an entire area of the map could be blocked off for a few minutes irl due to an accident that has occurred.
@thomasvanderkooy67823 жыл бұрын
The reason it said 0% transported is because the ships are so slow that it hadn’t arrived yet, it always starts at 0% and that only goes up once the deliveries reach their place that has demand for them
