The fastest game speed is 4x, not 3x, that's why there was a discrepancy between the frequency stated by the game and the one you calculated from your measurement

Interesting experiment. Perhaps you should try adding in a train line for half the distance on the bus route, or 3/4 or 1/4 to see at what point they start ignoring the slowness of the bus section of the trip.

Can you do one on busses/trams and profitability? I’ve noticed that having a residential and commercial/industrial line is better than circular lines. The problem with circular lines is that Mina always get overcrowded at the 4or five stops centred around the train station. I think it’s because sims going to another town for work or shopping overload the station stops. Worse still the other stops are empty and the lines run at a huge loss. But you are really good at getting down to the nitty gritty of how the game works. Hope you can help.

Hi, I'm new to the game and found your vids trying to learn the game's mechanics. Quick q: Say A and C are the two towns on your straight line. If I put a town midway, B, and duplicate the same train such that there are A-B and B-C routes, will the number of destinations at A approximately double? As in, will those that want to go A-C use B as a transfer?

Depends on how big the A, B and C are and how well they're connected. But broadly speaking yes. Although it'd be better if the service went from A-B-C-B-A, rather than having 2 separate services.
