I hear you saying misinformation but Mayorkas did interview and said they didn’t know if there were enough funds for anymore hurricanes so maybe you should be confronting Mayorkas about it.

You also claimed that misinformation was causing people not to apply I find that hard to believe and before I believed fema I would have to hear it directly from the victims.

Correct me if I am wrong but fema gives these people $750 but any money after that has strings attached one being it’s a loan and has to be paid back and some cases more strings don’t know how they work exactly. The other thing is if you are giving more money to non citizens and key word giving not a loan and it is more than a one time thing it’s monthly. Don’t know what the total it amounts to but it is much much more then what disaster victims get and it is not right so I don’t know what you call disinformation but that’s not disinformation and victims are saying some are being turned down, slowed down and others only received $300 that’s is coming from the victims themselves

No, you are incorrect. These appropriations are in fact meant for relief, and have no intention whatsoever of being paid back by the taxpayer receiving the grant.

@ they call it disaster loan assistance because you do have to pay it back but people who have lost the homes jobs and family members deserve more help then this some have never asked for help their entire life and have worked and paid taxes . Asylum seekers , refugees and immigrants are eligible for many benefits for one year and some programs seven years they also get grants or loans to start businesses. I don’t begrudge some getting many are hard working and deserve but at same time an American citizen who has worked and paid taxes their whole life deserve help in disasters .

How about we take the money that you are giving people who cross the border illegally and give victims the same benefits such as food stamps housing and cash assistance. On a web site I read that they get these benefits for seven years wouldn’t that be fair seeing as they have paid taxes which pay for these agencies and just get rid of fema workers seeing how we have agencies that provide these benefits we could use the same ones with just a few more workers to process and that would free up more money especially the head of these departments that money would better serve the victims who has paid into these places for years and the ones who have no jobs left to go to maybe hire them instead that way what little housing or rooms available fema employees wouldn’t be taking up much needed roofs over peoples heads.
