Thrash/Breakdown GNE Xlines Wrightbus Streetdeck Daimler OM934/Voith NK20 EMJ (6359)

This bus was serving route XLines X21 to Chester Le Street.
Breakdown begins on the A167 at 9:15 the bus was declared a failure once off the A road due to a electrical malfunction. We all had to get off via the emergency exit as the doors wouldn’t open.
Bus spent 24th off the road and was back in service 25th.

@HurriedImp MMCs are horrible quality, no where near as good as Wright

@@neliftsandtransport At least MMCs aren't rattling straight out of the factory, use engines that can actually get out of their own way and don't break your back going over speed bumps and potholes. The last decent bus that Wright made was the Eclipse 2/Gemini 2. The quality went downhill when they brought out the Streetlite and hasn't got much better since.

@HurriedImp Companies vary with maintenance. However, at Go North East, comparing the 400MMCs to the Streetdecks, there is a massive difference. Yes, the MMCs are faster and have some nice perks to them, but I will always prefer a Streetdeck. The ride quality is a lot better, and from the ones I've been on, the only properly rattling part is the unsecure destination board(s). The GNE 400MMCs have many issues, but the worst thing about them is the creaking noises the body makes going around bends which is ridiculous for buses just becoming 3 years old!
