You pretty much nailed it, the Kombi is the jack of all trades, you can use it as a work van , daily driver for school runs, shopping etc and have it as a day van for camping/trips away. Yes you guessed it I have a T6 Kombi 4M 😂

We've just come back from 2 weeks in scotland and isle of skye and after 14 years of lowered on 20s in now going swamper, was always a day van with full width R/R bed and leis batt, but recently had a pop top and 240v hook up /charger/fridge fitted for the trip, we had a fantastic time and cant wait to do it again, but made me realise what weve now got...... Its a camper van and needs to be practical and not "precious"..... I cracked the front splitter on a campsite track 🙄, and luckily put standard steels on just for fit and forget durability as i didn't want to be in the middle of nowhere with a cracked wheel, or punture with a 20" tyre Luckily I did that as some of the roads and potholes on skye are biblical 😱😱 and you do have to get your nearside wheels off the tarmac in places. I do love the lowered on 20s look and loads looked pretty going past on the motorways..... But i found it now totally impractical for us now..... Going back to standard ride height, 17" tomahawk kato's abs black bumpers, wheel arch n side trims,..... Cant wait to re-invent our van 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻...... Wifes on board, exept for the Snorkel and side mounted sand ladders 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yeah. Looked at that. They are a bolt on look. Not seemless. Nothing I can do about it. That’s how they are. On darker vans I vmbetbits not as noticeable 👍🏻

I bought and fitted a Wheeliams tailgate wheel carrier for my T5. I have just removed it as the tailgate is crumpled and creased, where it has been, now have to get it repaired. You also need to fit uprated struts about £500. Now going down the Front runner roof rack option, to mount my wheel etc. A expensive lesson learned. Great channel and looking forward to the finish 🙌

Excellent video, want to have same look on my T6 caravelle… struggling to make correct choice on the wheels & tyres. Don’t know whether to stick with 17” or go down to 16” and hope the overall diameter of the wheel doesn’t change so much. Is your Speedo out by much ?

Hi mate. I do suggest the glue yes. I made a bit of a mess and opted out for one side of my skirting panels. And guess what. You can peel it back a bit. Def use the glue. Def use UAO5 at thq too 👍🏻

Love the video, I have a 2022 t6.1 204 dsg highline lwb kombi camper swamper in revena blue from van haven, I too have the big off road wheels and tyres ,I have the Bilsten b6 comfort suspension with the eibach 60 mm lift kit. I have fuel colverts and BF GOODRIDGE K02S TYRES. I have factory LED lights plus I also have the LAZER light grill and I have a full width curved LED light bar . Van haven have just done a video on my van this week so should be realised some time next week .they also carried out a full bespoke graphics package to the van that I designed myself .should be worth checking out next week. Looking forward to your next video. Off the top off my head I don't know who makes the rear tyre carrier but van haven do supply them to order .contact Olly ,Tom, or Toby. Wheels look great, do you need to add spacers or anything - I've heard people say changing the wheels causes problems with other aspects of the vehicle and other upgrades are required. I'd be interested in your thoughts on this. I have a 4Motion also and want wheels like yours.

Yes I would. Some people mention the gap between each piece. Mine shows a lot because white. But there has to be a gap and I’m fine with it. They are just a supplier I believe.

@@micromaxicc8226 didn’t NEED to fit it mate. Sat quite nice before actually. And in fact. The wheel is closer at its closest point after the lift. As it sits in the tub before. Went for the bilsteins komfort kit 👍🏻

Ha ha. For a long time. Transporters were low and shiny and sleek with elastic bands for tyres. The swamper is now the rugged looks with lifted not lowered kits and muddy tyres.
