"Transposed Sequences" is a live performance with the Moog Sound Studio 3 and a DFAM. This jam has melodic and rhythmic imput from the additional DFAM and a melodic Subharmonicon sequence. The Mother 32 produces the bass line and runs through the Strymon Volante. The Subharmonicon delivers some chord like rhythmic progressions with some reverb from the Avalanche Run. All then sequences where transposed with the Arturia MicroBrute gate out and pitch out. The Track was recorded and mastered in Ableton11.
Moog DEFAM - Drums
Moog DFAM - percussion, melodie
Moog Mother 32 - bass
Moog Subharmonicon - rhythmical chord progression, lead

Loved this! Liked and subscribed I think you're the first person that I've seen with two Moog dfms When I first saw them I thought a rhythm section would need several of these I'm impressed

Thank you! There are some musicians on KZbin using two DFAMs. You could check out Lisa Bella Donna (I'm a big fan) if you like music concrete. Or Carlos Native, if you wanna hear two DFAMs doing techno. And you're absolutely right! If you like how this machine works, you can put at least two of them to good use. 😊

@@bitbe6152 Lisa belladonna has a very nice moog setup and she also gets access to the moog studio I don't watch a lot of her clips somehow I prefer to watch clips from " real people" with a real setup rather than a sponsored mega dollar studio

Absolutely love this! Do the gate & pitch go to sub-H first and then to M32 or the other way around?
@bitbe6152
@bitbe6152 Жыл бұрын
Hi, pitch out on the microbrute to mult in on the Mother 32 and from there mult 1 out to 1v/oct on the Mother 32 and the mult 2 out to VCO 1 in on the Subharmonicon. Although it's not a bufferd mult, I found that sending pitch through the Mother 32s mult works quite well. In this piece of music the gates come from the internal sequencers. I'm using the keyboard only to transpose the sequences.

Have you tried any generative sequencers? Misha, T-1, Oxi? That can blow one's mind totally away.
@bitbe6152
@bitbe6152 7 ай бұрын
No I haven't. The Grandmother and the Matriarch can run sequences in random mode. Whenever I need random notes of a scale or some kind of progression, I run the sequencer in random mode. Or a different approach: I clock a clock divider with the subharmonicons polyrhythmic gate signals and patch slow division rates to the run/stop imput of for example a Mother 32. Combined with a random control voltage changing the cut off amount, I get some random melodic sweetness 😊. Which of those generative sequencers have you tried so far? Which one did you like the most?

Great but if Studio 3 is not connected via MIDI, what inputs is connected to Arturia?
@bitbe6152
@bitbe6152 5 ай бұрын
Hi, the Arturia MicroBrute has a pitch out and gate out cv at the back. I've used mult cables to spread the pitch cv signal to each synth. 😊 Hope that helps 👍

Hi I'm planning to buy sound studio 3 and I'm looking for user reviews. How would you describe this trio as an educational instrument or tool?
@bitbe6152
@bitbe6152 Ай бұрын
Hi, the sound studio 3 is not necessarily educational. Both Subharmonicon and DFAM are not easy to get your head around at first. (at least for me) Mastering the Subharmonicon requires knowledge of music theory, like harmony and temperament. The DFAM is limiting, not sonically but it's sequencer with eight steps is in terms of repetitive patterns. I love playing the sound studio 3 but it took me a while to learn these instruments and express my intentions with them. Anyway I've never had any regrets about buying those instruments. I hope you'll get in a wonderful musical journey 👍

@@bitbe6152 I like studio 3 that you have everything on top. And not like in other synthesisers under the menu, which is sometimes annoying...
