There were the Titan comics, but they're weren't canon, though issue 1 was a flashback to the war on Cybertron and Lockdown was a decepticon and ruthless one as well saying that they (him, Drift when he was a decepticon and Knucklehead, a character created specifically for that issue) shouldn't take autobot prisoners so one issue gave Lockdown a bit of back story although not canon.

Lockdown has appeared in some pre-AOE Bayverse tie-in media, primarily in Cyber Missions. In TF Cyber Missions, one episode shows how Ratchet and Lockdown had a kind of rivalry, so the start of AOE can be seen as an instance of "settling the score". This would mean that Lockdown has been active since Revenge of The Fallen. That dosen't conflict with Lockdown being a mercenary hired by the Decepticons, but it does throw a wrench in the idea that he arrived after the Battle of Chicago.

Since Lockdown first appeared in the cyber missions short around ROTF, there’s another theory I have on Lockdown: he was created to stop the cybertronian knights of Quintessa, but like them he rebeled and became a bounty hunter. However, unlike Quintessa, the other creators brainwashed Lockdown through torture after the planet is left lifeless. This could explain why the autobots knew him before and to reconcile both versions.

The Blue and Red eyes doesn't necessarily mean "Good and Evil". Most of the Autobots were civillians before the war, thus blue regular eyes. Most of the Decepticons were military before the war thus Red Infrared Eyes. Since they're mechanical beings, they wouldn't call it "eyes", more like "optics"

i understand your hot take on lockdown being stronger than prime but i feel like lockdown isnt as strong as him, because he seems to be better at strategic attacks from the shadows and usually he stuns someone from afar then goes to them slowly, but him fighting with prime at the end you can see that little bit of struggle hes having, he holds his own but he got the upper hand because prime got distracted by saving cade, and seeing that bumblebee fight he didnt know how to go against bees unique fighting style and only took him down after after getting a hand on him, but before he was struggling, it's like he doesn't know how to take on many enemies at once as shown how he was trying to get cade but was tripped and didnt win that well against cade

Love how in the non canon titan magazine comics there's a story of Lockdown working as a Decepticon with Drift and some dude named Knucklehead. That and how in Rise of the Dark Spark, Lockdown just shows up before AOE and battles Optimus, Bumblebee, Drift and Grimlock. Honestly I blame Michael Bay's whole "no more IDW comics" thing for these weird stories. Because if the writers for the comic and game were given just a little bit of story from the film then maybe those entries could line up more with the films and be semi-canon like the Dark of the Moon console game.

I would imagine backstory of lockdown my version : Once he has a family that lived in cybertron and happily. But at the war of cybertron, he and his family no choice to jump around as a refugee. one thing to add to the fact that lockdown did fight in the cybertronian war is the line where he says something like the autobots and the decepticons are like children. the thing that made him think of the two factions as children is the fact that are constantly fighting which he would have only known if he has been to cybertron and saw the war first hand.

The Bayverse is not over, this is due to the fact he is still helping make Rise of the Beasts so, I suspect that Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal will come face to face, this is confirmed in beastwars, it shows a part of Optimus Primal meeting Optimus Prime, but... There is a pattern, apparently in beast wars, Megatron was the one that made Cybertron technorganic, and Megatron is here in the present plus he made contact with Quintessa and I assume that he wanted the planet technorganic. I think Optimus is still stronger than Lockdown. The first battle had the help of humans, the second battle had him shooting in the back twice from afar, and the third one had Optimus distracted. The battle during the car chase had Optimus winning (technically. He was still keeping up with the chase, so not at full effort), and he was winning before the tide turned in the final battle. Why do you think Optimus went specifically to Quintessa if Lockdown was working for the other creators? Was Optimus going after them 1 by 1, and Quintessa just happened to be the only one that’s alone?

Hey @TransTheory I have been asking on several videos what happened to the Allspark shard that was given to revive Megatron from ROTF with and how does he controls it's power during DOTM like in the games and what happened to it after his body was melted by KSI on Age Of Extinction or before that and since we all know from the Fallen himself that the Allspark couldn't be destroyed and can only transform does that mean Megs still has the power of the Allspark Shard and was it the source of his control over the KSI Drones? I like the details, but for me being stronger is different than being skilled or you could be both. Technically we could say that Lockdown could hunt down TF1 Megatron and still says Megatron is stronger. We could say that by basing how many shots did it took for him to knockdown Optimus or even before he made him lock in stasis. He could literally hunt TF1 Megatron in the distance with his precise arsenal, backed up by his popularity to fellow transformers. On the strength hmm personally I think it is a bit messy on bayverse these are my thoughts... In terms of strength scaling in my opinion: TF1 Megatron> TF1 Optimus, we could basically see it in the enire movie and their final fight scene. So in this case size really matters since megatron could easily throw optimus at that time I could back up size matters especially until TF DOTM because in TF ROF... Megatron has a new form and not on his TF1 mode anymore and because of that TF ROF Optimus could almost have a good fight with him before being killed, Prime almost win but you get what I mean, Megatron nerfed, Optimus almost won... In that same time The Fallen is much larger than prime or so I presume... and Prime definitely needed an upgrade just to won against Megatron and the Fallen... He killed The Fallen and damaged Megatron so bad...In the DOTM... if size doesnt matter then optimus could easily defeat shockwave with his giant pet, but at that time Optimus needed an upgrade auxiliary to fight against Shockwave and his pet... Based on these, we could actually say that size affects strength, but having more arsenal, being quick or skilled could with a fight... Here where I began to mess up... Since Optimus could regenerate, is true then that AOE Optimus is stronger than the first 3 movies normal version of Optimus... Optimus basically knock down Grimlock who is wayy larger and a legendary warrior, a cybertronian knight. We could still say that Optimus is not stonger than grimlock but the force of Optimus on his strike is enough to knock him down... again having the skill won against strength.. For the final fight at AOE I think Prime was still holding back since he does not want to hurt yeager and based on Optimus feats Only the top guys could easily fight him or defeat him... I definitely think Lockdown is more ahead on weaponry and assassinations, more skilled on that field but lets not forget Prime is a knight, throughout the bayverse he used many form of weapons and based on some sources he is mastery of it too.. I do not know it is just I hope Lockdown and Prime fight has been a lil bit different you know with their strength and mastery of skills they could brought a different fight scenes. It is jut my opinions though.

Lockdown is the coolest character in Bayformers. So menacing. And he didn’t gave two shits about Autobots vs Decepticons, he was on a mission for a much bigger purpose than a civil war. Lockdown made the watchable.
