Thanks for your illuminating tutorial. We'd like to see how you take your measurements. Thanks

Thanks for checking out the video and leaving a comment. I actually don't really take any measurements but I will definitely add it to the list for future videos! Once I take the cast, I scan and modify the scan before getting a check socket printed. Here's the link if you are interested in seeing the process. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYS1f5WYaq93es0 Just skip to 7:14

Great vid. I work for ALPS South - it's always nice to see our liners in the wild.

Hi could you do a tutorial about measuring AP and ML measurements using the Caliper?
@TheLegLady2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I am not usually taking measurements and not using the caliper for AP/ML. I am just going off the intentional shapes in my cast, but I can add that to the list of video ideas! Any specific questions you have though in the meantime? You can ask here or send to my email (it is on the about page). Thanks!

For bench alignment, how do you adjust the angle, let’s say 15 degree flexion?
@TheLegLady7 ай бұрын
Typically after casting, I will scan the cast in a flexed position of about 7-10 degrees (more if needed). So that flexion is built in. If I need to add more flexion I can do that with set screws at the pyramid. If I am doing up to 15 degrees for flexion tightness or contracture I will move the socket slightly more forward than normal so the weight line still falls at a good spot through the foot.

The music is very distracting! If you feel you must have music, turn down the volume.

Thank you for the feedback! Will keep that in mind for future videos.

Why aren't you casting for a suction socket. You casted for a lock and pin. And it's incorrect
