I like his no bullshit attitude. Tells it how he sees it and gets to the point. His Mindfield part no lie changed my life.

he sells himself way too short. His and JKs part in the End will never be forgotten.

heath is my first favorite skateboarder. had every single pro model shoe, and they all skated great. always been so humble...but so serious at the same time, all the time. bummed to see him still out of it. life happens.

That part still remains one of the best, in my mind. I suggest it to everyone in need of a part to watch.

I probably hold him among top ten most influential from the 90s and also early 2000s...
@dylano31333 жыл бұрын
Easily. He has a mystique that only a few skaters have and the style to back it up.

my favorite skater of all time......all of his footy is pure fire, hes a tech and style pioneer.....years ahead of his time...a standard bearer of parts with nothing but pure fire in each clip and line. His fs nose slides and bs tails are better than anyones. I learned sw front lips bc of his mindfield part. Just bc i wanted to know what it felt like to be HK.....i mean damn i do bs tails and fs nose slides where you pop out looking at your feet or at the ground....all pissed AF.....mean muggin......bc HK.....and if youve never done one like that......i swear youre not even awake. Go do some fs nose slides or fs boards to fakie until you learn you dont gotta look at shiet to fly.....Id say go watch "that part"........but in all honesty you really need to watch his part/footy in chronology to really understand how damn good HK really was, his foundation footy to the end/destroying america, to his emerica vids, to the tws vids and eventually mindfield....where he brings out the sw flip boardslide and sw lip, all the culminations of his tech.....you can tell thrasher and their propaganda bs motif really didnt roll with hk.....as if he needs to put a message or theme behind the authenticity of his skating. LOL sounds like they might as well hire the visionary Jaime thomas over at Thrasher to run sum ship. Skaters like HK taught me to respect TWS.....esp the TWS vids....it really really....helped me differentiate between TWS which i saw as media/journalism....and thrasher as.......propaganda and a sales catalogue.

But Thrasher won literally by selling Tshirts and Transworld is 2nd in terms of popularity. TWS and Big Brother should still be alive next to Thrasher

Heath may not feel like he's had an impact on skateboarding, but he certainly had an impact on me and my life as an artist. I was blown away as a young skate rat when I saw him and Jeremy Klein in The End grinding on business signs and airing over gas pumps in suits - just another day at the office. It seemed like a total "fuck you" to big business and status quo. Ever since then I've sought independence in my lifestyle and career (which I've achieved like a skateboarder by failing, getting hurt, but getting back up and trying again). Even as a character today I respect how Heath lives his life. Huge influence, maybe not to skateboarding, but to life.
