​@RogueHero trap cards are very good, and I should know I use solemn judgement in one of my decks. As for meta decks they can be beaten and that is because my phantom knights deck defeated a Malis deck.

Trap cards aren't trap cards if they can played the same turn. Just make them quick play spells and call it a day 😒

Don Normal spells can be used when set, unless stated otherwise. Quick play spells can't be used on the same turn that are set.

In a format where every engine has a 1 card starter, you have more flexibility for going 1st on game 3 by playing busted traps that just slow the game down to a complete halt.

I think this current format is been the healthiest it has been in a very long time in my opinion, seeing Trap Cards like Solemn J & Solemn S back in the metagame is quite dope to see. Ryzeal & Maliss are indeed powerful, but fairly easy to counter and side for.

Would you believe me if I told you I found a budget version of Dark Magician. That was when card of demise was at 3x, I had apprentice illusion magician, dark magician engine stuff. The rest of the cards were solemn 2x strike/warning. Using 3x ash, 2 ogres, and 1 effect vailor. The deck was at 40 cards total but it was balanced somehow. It took me a while because I kept using anime cards. Turns out Kaiba was always helpful to Yugi then meets the eyes lol

They should bluff trap cards by adding 2 new types. 1. Being able to activate from hand on your opponents turn and 2. Traps cards that can trigger on your turn without needing to set it

1 already exists with cards like imperm. I think Marincess and Blackwings also have trap cards that can be activated from hand. 2 is just quick-play spells.

I would still personally only play solemns in the side deck since they are worthless going second and generally bad to topdeck but they are absolutely fantastic in game 3 when sided in

Rogue, i been thing about this a while, the popular omni negates and disruption that got banned. I think them being easily accessible is part of the issue, but on top of that their atk value They basically are defensive and offensive it the atk was lower i would be more balanced. They cant negate and punch you out.

hitting the generic negates mainly baronne and savage crippled casual/rogue and it hasn't truly recovered. I understand at the time it was the hit to pure snake-eyes and they thought that would hurt the deck but then fiendsmith came out proving there love for top decks and there hatred for lower tier decks

@@anakinsmith4770 Meta decks were using them too it lower the ceiling. Plus they were just seen too much. And were so good other lv 10s and lv8 synchros didnt matter. I am fine with negates, but hyper accessible cards should not be strong defensively and offensivly

@@CyrusIsnt PLZ tell me what ip sp zelantis and about 20-30 other extra cards do now. it doesn't matter if one of two top decks where playing them 90% of the decks playing them where rogue and a lot died once they did. it's so easy to sit there and same that when the hands trap do the exact same. i would say the floodgates but they suck going second

i get sick of this blatant lie of the format is slower so effectively if i bring darklord and you ash and veiler my starters i don't auto lose on your turn pretty sure that isn't the case pretty such i auto lose and if i don't by some miracle you set up an unbreakable board backed by multiple hand traps
