I have that at my locals where people peaked almost at the bottom of my deck when they’re shuffling my cards. Instead of just cutting though pick them up and shuffle, but it’s at an angle and you can still kind of see what the cards are at the bottom.

Since everyone is different and there is a vast spectrum of what people consider rule sharking or not, what I try to do is reciprocate what my opponent allows and disallows and match that standard to them. I always ask if I can get take backs and if they allow them, I always reciprocate if they are in a similar situation. So if they don't allow some forms of take backs, I keep them responsible to the same degree of restriction. This way there's no bad blood and everything is fair. There was a wholesome moment at a locals where my opponent let cards he adds to hand or revealed remain revealed throughout his turn (gigachad), and I reciprocated by keeping my "known" cards in hand open too (he cooked me with his mermail deck). Idk if I will do something like that at a regional, but man if I had his confidence I'd probably do that unprompted.

My neighbor would always put a trap/spell in defense or vise versa for a monster that couldn’t be summoned in the back-row. It was all for bluff then he will pick up his cards from the field and would say you fell for it. Horrible person. Never won against him lol

@ that’s f*cked up lol The best bluff I had was are you sure. And then I lost. I couldn’t afford mirror force. Best I had was trap hole and that would get destroyed before a summon.

Like every single card game, cheat if you can in any way in order to win. It's only wrong if you get caught. I also someone rule shark a player in nats for a couple of his sleeves having a little crease on the corner through natural play mad him buy new sleeves and resleeve mid game
@jyoungman9211 сағат бұрын
We had one guy at our locals that always drew the perfect floodgates going 1st and outs going 2nd. Me and the other judge said if we ever play him and think we've caught him cheating then call each other over for a ruling. A few months ago the other judge called me over for a ruling, the player had activated and resolved only 1 card going first; Bonfire, after that he suddenly had 6 cards in hand. The judge had seen him drop another card onto his hand while searching his deck with Bonfire but the player didn't realise he'd been caught. The card he dropped was Skill Drain. We finally caught him, disqualified him from the tournament and he's not been back to that locals since.

I remember some years back during the 5ds era, I was having a casual game with a friend of mine, I'm doing a synchro summon, he goes into his battle phase and destroys my cards, and I tell him you can't go into your battle phase during my turn, unless you have a card that says you can, and he tells me when it's destroyed its removed from play instead of the graveyard. I never spoke to that guy again.

I can't even comprehend what this means. Sounds like they did not know how to play maybe
@kidbu91615 сағат бұрын
The stacking one I counter by ALWAYS shuffling their deck myself. When it comes to them shuffling my deck, I always watch them closely to make sure they're not looking at my deck. When it comes to the effects of cards. I always read cards I'm unfamiliar with and if needed I ask a judge if one is available or other players as well.

At locals and sometimes regionals, I do the opposite of rule sharking. Whenever I know my opponent forgot a trigger, I feign ignorance and say out loud, "Oh, did you have any triggers after this action? I didn't see any anything that happened after." This game takes a lot of muscle memory and I'd hate to play a game where a win is decided by forgetting one small sequence.

@Protech4283 күн бұрын
How did you finish
@kidbu9163 күн бұрын
@@Protech428 Not as good as I would have liked. 4-4-1. I didn't get as much time to truly playtest due to life responsibilities and trying to track down my cards a week before the regionals. So all things considered I could have done better. The first half of the 9 rounds I was actually doing pretty ok. I was 3-1-1 going into round 6. I had beaten two Maliss and one Labrynth by that time (all 3 went first). Lost to Fiendsmith Ryzeal as my first lost (literally due to time because I was prepared to grind him out due to blowing up his Duo Drive before he could use it). My one draw was with Tenpai and we both had a book of eclipse to stop each other when time was called. Going into later rounds I just either misplayed, drew bad, or they had the out. I think if I had more time to prepare I would have done much better. Most people didn't even know GB cards were in the newest set, let alone they could add so much to what they already have.

6:00 I can definitely relate to this one. I learned how to play Mannadium in Master Duel, largely because nobody was playing the deck as intended. If you look at all of the cards, it is obvious that Mannadium is meant to be a go-second OTK deck. But, everyone plays it as Visas Starfrost Pile that makes a bunch of negations with generic synchro and link monsters. So, for fun, I decided to try making the deck into Prime Heart Turbo, and it works far better than you'd think. I've pivoted more to a hybrid style for the deck's design. But, I still run Prime Heart in the deck, which most people don't. I've lost count of how many times Prime Heart has won me games. Similar thing with Mannadium Fearless. People run x3 Meek and maybe x1 Torrid for the combo plays, neglecting Fearless entirely. But, Fearless can still go combo, and it has the added bonus that it can boost all of your synchros attack power by 1000 over the course of the combo.
