Blue Crabs. In this video, I'll be crabbing in West Ashley, Charleston, South Carolina using two-ring crab traps rigged with pyramid weights and baited with chicken legs. It's April 9 and the crabbing was excellent. After crabbing for about 3 hours, I ended up with quite a few nice blue crabs.
In the video, I will also show:
-- How to clean blue crabs in the field.
-- How to steam a blue crab feast.
Recipe Used in the Video:
2 Cups Water
1/2 Cup White Vinegar
Old Bay (to taste)
Garlic Powder (to taste)
Place steaming rack in the pot
Layer crabs on the steaming rack
Add sliced potatoes
Add sliced onion
Add kielbasa (or summer sausage)
Add brussel sprouts (or ears of corn)
Cover and steam for 12 minutes
Serve and enjoy!!!
