A buddhist monk from Australia Ajahn Brahm says a health care professional's job is not to cure but to care for the patients. This change of perspective is enormous for the Dr as well as the patient because the patient and Dr can work together listen and there's empathy in care. Even if the Dr cannot save the patient in the end they won't feel like a failure because they did everything they could for the patient, they cared and attended to the needs of the patient foremost.

Fear is such a major issue. People, and I was one of them when I was crippled with excruciating pain, wanted pain killers. Now I have reduced some of the fear, some of the pain has gone. Now I have to take overall responsibility or my future is painfully clear.

Three years complete responder here. I visualized force feeding the chemotherapy to the cancer. I wasn't able to take the full doses because of the pain but so far it worked. Thank you folks for these conversations

Anita: love how you integrate your NDE into this vision of changing broken systems. We do Undoing Racism work to shift systems away from inhumane patterns of doing. What a true healer. Loved this conversation. Thank you and the Dr. A Native Indigenous Healer helped me through ovarian cancer and white medicine men were astounded when the growth shrunk as it did. They wanted to know what was done. I hope and pray every institute will tap into an integrative medicine approach. Theres more than one way right?❤🎉

Referring to the medical system or medical care or “specialty” care or primary care as Health Care is an excellent place to start in reframing our orientation toward positive outlook and care based service. This affects and includes the patient and the team members delivering the healing and caring service. It can help keep the focus on health and health planning grounded in caring. Health Care not Medical Care or diagnosis based care is an important distinction to make.

Wonderful conversation. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🙏People gave away their responsibility to an external system that now creates fear in them, precisely because of this dependence. We need to trust ourselves and let us be assisted by medicine from all sources, appropriate to the situation. Another important area to bring more attention to would be the quality of air, water, and food.

Yes, Anita would agree! If we can trust ourselves, things shift and change for the better! Best wishes, Mich from Team Anita

Great interview, a lot of respect to both beautiful human beings! Some additional thoughts to conventional statistic - it is now based on 99% of cases when conventional approach was applied, including fear based thoughts, not going to real causes of illness, battling just symptoms. Such statistic is not correct in a true meaning of course. If we would take other cases when people applied integrative and/alternative methods, we will see very different statistics, a much more positive one. But existing medical system is too conservative to collect other statistics than conventional, unfortunately. Such doctors and such interviews are contributing to changing current miserable paradigm to a better one.

I also heard very good feedback about integrative Clinique in Irvine. Maybe highly respected dr. Vicario and his likeminded colleagues can contribute to bringing to the public some statistic of Irvine Clinique, and other successes of integrative medicine, which can help to find more funding for increasing of such progressive methods. Prayers for you both and your beautiful ideas to change current paradigm of conventional medical system gradually and with kindness 🙏❤️🙏❤️
