Many of the shepherding breeds of dogs will balk at coming in from a cold day or a cold and snowy day. I had Border collies and both of them adored the cold. Snow was a HUGE bonus for them. 🙂🐈🐈‍⬛💖🌈

Your snow fall books like what we get up here in the northern California High Sierra mountains but we pretty much we have had a dry winter we thought maybe 3 inches then it melts sending a huge amount of hugs love and prayers always♥♥♥♥♥♥🙏🙏🙏🙏

I was in Memphis, when that snow storm hit. We were snowed in at our hotel. I'm from Arizona. We don't do snow. We were there to go to Graceland and they cancelled all tours while we were there.

For our dogs, we use water bowls that plug in, which keeps the water from freezing - you could use them for the chickens if you were able to run a drop cord out to the coop. Also, invest in snow pants living where it snows...you won't regret it.

if you have a local pevey mart or co-op they have heated water dishes that are great for the winter time. you just have to make sure you have a power source for them.
