@Lazy Bundy spending 20 grand to summit a mountain? Ha! The money already is wasted. What do you get by submitting everest? You get nothing, except bragging rights and that's it. You don't even get bragging rights if you include the part where you let someone die so you can summit it. But if you save someone's life, you actually make a difference, instead of achieving an arbitrary goal. Don't get me wrong. I like to hike, and I like to summit mountains, but I ain't going against my values just to get to the top of a glorified hill. I have higher priorities
@Batchall_Accepted

@@stephenolder4552 I was thinking the same thing here. Picking between summiting or a human life shouldn't be a "difficult" choice. It shouldn't be a choice at all. You're essentially saying feeling like you got your money's worth is more important than their existence.

As the years go on, the Everest become increasingly popular and accessible (paying enough money). You end up with more and more chances of random people that shouldnt be there getting stranded (inexperienced, under-prepared, cheap equip). Some of you can only afford that trip once, and trying to save a random can also mean your own death (carrying yourself is already hard enough).

There’s actually quite the big difference between „abandoning someone“ and leaving somebody who is „beyond saving“. You can’t just backpack another person and bring them down - that’s not how it works on 8000m altitude. That high, even thinking is incredibly hard, let alone carrying someone. Sure, you can provide water and oxygen, but at the end of the day, everyone has to get down by themselves. If you don’t know your body, these mountains are incredibly poisonous.

Holding the record for the first person survive 1 day left for dead on Everest he was 45 to 50 years old 22 years before his ordeal he was on Everest then a snowstorm hit him and he canceled the hike. He died in Australia age 56. His Hallucinations were him on a boat with his family. He had suffered altitude sickness and soon he was left for dead.being left for dead meant they take everything from you except your first layer and pants later his friend Mike told her wife Barbara Hall that he had died 36 hours later Lincoln Hall called Barbara saying that he was alive

"oh no, I didn't get to reach the top of a mountain, this once, or twice in a lifetime opportunity, I ONLY saved another humans life" I don't see how that could even be a difficult, or even disappointing decision to make.

Everyone knows the risks. I will be going in a year. It’s in my will to leave me up on that mountain if I happen to die. Especially in the death zone. Why risk even more lives? Plus, if I’m spending 50k+ to climb this mountain, and I have to In turn save you... will you be paying for me to come back next year? If not, I’ll see you on the descent.

I would definitely be the person who would help Lincoln to get down the mountain. 100% no holds barred. If you're not that type of person, then jog tf on. That's how I feel about it. There is no amount of money that is worth letting someone die.

i dont understand your comparison. im 50 and i have a muscle car. i have a muscle car because i grew up around them. thus theyre familiar. how does this compare to risking your life to achieve something no one cares about?

@@MrCosmin94Hi the permit it's 11000 dollars in Nepal, they want to stop giving permission to climb the peak because of the trash, oxigen bottles and the death bodies on the mountain. Also there are companies that help you to climb the peak that charge from 40000 up to 160000 dollars. Also in a documentary couple years ago a Sherpa was paid with 10000 dollars a trip and the season it's short april-may.
