This whole story took me right back to my childhood when I first saw spirited away, the scene were the girls parents had been turned to pigs and she realizes she's not in normal reality anymore 😰 Don't know why exactly, but that feeling of being in the WRONGEST (yes I know that's not a word 😅) place possible felt very similar here.. I'm flabbergasted that you always manage to find such unique stories! If a genie doesn't offer you three wishes by next Wednesday I'll be sorely disappointed in this unjust world ✌️😖

@@AshFri-l4m I guess someone who is used to walking everywhere has a body that is used to harsh weather, has good stamina for walking, and will not be affected so much when the power to trains goes out and fuel supplies for cars dwindle. Also, being on foot means you can enter remote areas where there will be less zombies to begin with - considering zombies usually come from humans, of whom there are many more in cities. I'd probably not last long and I think Balrogdemorgoth would definitely have an advantage over me!

Hi Girl in the Dark, I wanted to ask you about a technical issue: there is a problem with the stereo sound in this story. Your voice can only be heard via R- channel earphone, music goes through L- channel only. I checked the earphones they are working fine in other stories here. Same, it was only an issue for me as I have trouble hearing the frequency that the human voice falls into in my right ear, so I had to put my headphones on backwards. It wouldn't be an issue listening through speakers, but on headphone I couldn't hear you. Great reading of the story though! =D
