Trapping a Raccoon Infested Farm

I look for their tracks. Once I find a heavily used trail with raccoon tracks, I set a trap there. Most of the time they like to follow creek banks. I caught one this morning in a dog proof.

get a tube of grape jelly, doesn't take much, and a small marshmallow into the trap, works every time. i wouldn't put corn inside the trap.

Peanut butter is your friend. Put a bit of peanut butter in the bottom of those hand traps, was our secret weapon back in PA

Never Never put corn in a dog proof . The deer will Kock it over to get the corn . Never put a trap on the corn pile. The racoon will associate the corn pile as a trap and will avoid it . Place it 10 -20 yards away on the trail TO the corn pile . DO not over fill the dog prof . Just some of MY mistakes.. Good luck.
