A desert eangle is more than capable of taking a black bear, you just need to hit your shots which requires practice. A desert eagle could take a grizzly or a moose with little issue if you can aim properly

As a hunter myself it sucks seeing Kendall not being proficient enough with firearms to make a good shot on wild game. I’ve seen him wound too many animals and sometimes not even recover them. You really should get some firearms training and learn proper trigger control and not jerk the gun in anticipation. Kirk also did this horribly in the beginning shooting the deagle.

Also a hunter here. I really hope your comment doesn't get deleted. I've been saying the same thing for some time now. Kendall seems to be favoring content over ethics. Sure, a Deagle and a bear look cool in the thumbnail, but let's be real - no hunter should chose that pistol over a rifle for treed bears. Kendall even mentions this himself later in the video. I have the similar criticisms for recent videos (pronghorn where he takes shots far beyond his ability, severely wounding the animal for most of the day) and his racoon hunt videos (where he allows his dogs to maul the still-living animal after it's been shot). Making content should not come at the expense of ethical hunting. I hope more people like you and me continue to voice their concerns and that Kendall/the viewers see the problem here.

@@martinolsen43 Hunting bear isn't like hunting deer. The rarely go down in one shot, even with a rifle. They have much thicker fur and far more dense bone. Shot placement matters of course, but it's not rare to need several shots. There is no humane way to kill something, regardless of what you hear. This is just the reality of hunting, and it happens no matter what animal you're hunting or what tools you're using (unless you only do it ONE time and get super lucky).

I love hunting and usually I don’t feel this way but this hunt didn’t feel very ethical bear got ran up a tree shot 2 times fell out of a tree with its guts hanging out and needed a 3rd shot. Good video nice bear but didn’t feel ethical in my opinion.
