I'm not allowed to use drags where I am but I do use my dog to help me find small game trails. He is especially good at locating beaver trails for some reason but he'll start following any trail he smells. Your the only one I've heard talk about using a dog to help trap. I've been a drag man a long time . Where im at they let me put the trap where it needs to be . I tried the earth anchors and found myself moving traps to where the anchor would go in and that just sucked ! So its rebar and drags for this goofball ! ; )

Drags really save my energy setting and pulling traps. Driving stakes and pulling gets more of an issue to consider the older you get. I have a female Airedale that’s my drag dog. Just like Timber, if I see drag is gone she has the animal found before I get off the UTV. Once you get over the fear of “ it’s going to go off and I can’t find it” drags are the way to go in a lot of situations. I especially like them cat trapping. Something a about a 3N, a drag and a dog makes it fun.

284winchester I run #2 straight link chain on Coyote. Just make sure you buy either American or Korean made chain. The Chinese made chain and cable sucks. Thank you for watching
