Just so you know for long term, you can risk that Fred will get some back problems when he gets older, if had regularly jumps down from high platforms. I have hunting dogs myself, and we always Cary them down from the cage. So we don’t risk them hurting them selfs.

Hi Buddy, mjust discover your channel, in a couple of previous one i saw from yours, when you were at the small truckstop i guess? you had a trap WITH A SUN ROOF.. and you catch some 8 of them one shot... observed when it is too sunny, they stay where some wind will refresh them... so if you had a plywood for roof to protect them from the sun.. they could like to come to eat.. walk barefoot on the roof, you will quickly understand why they say away... and the plywood roof, i would make it wider on one side to put a small pool for them.. they will come to refresh themeself and all the corn unde the roof will be away from the sun, meaning they would be able to walk on the asphalt without crisping their feet, then you just need to have a "door" right there wiyth more bait in.. Michel

Could you film the training sessions that you do with Fred? I just got an 8 week old black lab last week and would love to train her to hunt ducks. We're working on simple obedience right now, but when she gets older I'm hoping to get her into duck hunting. I don't duck hunt now, but I really want to, especially after watching your videos. The only problem is I'm 15 and my dad works all the time, so we can't really go much, we pretty much only hunt deer and hogs, but I showed my dad your channel and he's been watching, and he said we could try to duck hunt some this season. I love all the videos you make, keep on chuggin'!

Broken grains rot fast, are jagged, getting illness into your birds, like "canker" etc. Also soak your handful of grains to use overnight or for a day to increase weight and attractiveness. I miss coming back to two to three dozen pigeons in traps. Good eating on non good colors etc for breeders and fosters, or banded birds.

You need to bait it heavily around the trap until the birds are more comfortable. Slowly take away their food source until all the food is in the trap. It's a sacrifice in the beginning but i promise it will pay off!!!
@BobbyGuyFilms5 жыл бұрын
Great idea my man
@ct12275 жыл бұрын
@@BobbyGuyFilms Love the channel and the pigeon vids, the corn sight aspect is genius but once those birds get comfortable and if you overfeed them, they will just wait for food outside of the trap, slowly deplete their food source and force them into the trap. Winter is a different story, those birds are desperate.
