Trapping River Beaver with 330's

This is the first episode of my 2020/2021 trapping season.
We start the season with some fall beaver trapping. I found an area along the river with some really good beaver sign and had some success harvesting a few nice beavers.

Nice video it's so easy too catch Beavers, but you have to find sign, your a smart man setting that trigger on bottom. Most people don't know too do that. Got some young people I have too train this year, one a Young Lady just getting into it. Lucky I have a power setter, for her too use.

#3 sprung trap #4 and you got it going back in.

They are crafty. I didn't two similar sets last year. The big one I got was 55lbs. But it took me a few sets. He was educated. Kept pushing brush into the 330's and setting them off. Be persistent and patient. Finally got him on a run between two water holes. The trap was literally submerged in the middle on the hump between holes. Wired a piece of alder to the trigger. No escaping that!!!!

Beaver pelts may be business, but I hear beaver ground into burgers is the real reward. Do you often eat what you catch? Or is it mostly future bait?

Good video, but as a beaver trapper, I never could figure out why some don't wear wanders. Its so much easier not to have to worry about going over your boots and to be able to feel out runs on the bottom.
