Always wire for the largest critter you might catch .. I have caught beaver in mink sets . Double wire and stake out in the water so the drowned . Two twists in the wire isn't enough

Get you a tile space son,digs holes alot faster and helps keep you upright in those slippery cricks!

Put the carrot and Dunlap's lure right above the surface of the water where the muskrats nose is.

To increase your odds on the Bottom Edge set, use dive sticks. Most mink and muskrats swim on the surface in my area.

Try using KB stabilizers or Set N Go stabilizers for bottom edge sets. Wire them to an anchor like a brick or small RR plate. Logs can easily float away in a flood. Also using guide sticks leaning over the trap helps to create the tunnel effect that mink love.
