Rick did a clinic for a group of us in North Alabama about 16-18 years ago. I think the main takeaway I gained from that 2 day clinic was how to better diagnose my own faults as they pop up so that I could work on them and make adjustments. Prior to that I only felt like I knew one recipe to shoot targets. I went on to break a 100 from the 27 shortly after that. I wonder if Rick ever paid that speeding ticket that he got from the state trooper on the way out to the gun club that morning 😂

I did a clinic with Rick in Black River Falls, WI. He told me to take two weeks off, then quit.

I can not wait to take one of your clinics this year! I have no idea how to adjust my gun more precisely. I currently understand it in a rough caveman with a club way. Do you guys have a good resource you would recommend for the basics? I am brand new at this and have not a clue on the fundamentals. I've been winging it and so far I am shooting at an 80% average. So, definitely room for improvement. Love these podcasts guys! Thanks for what you do for the new shooters in the community as well as the older ones!

The patterning board will tell you how high or low the pattern impacts the paper.

It certainly will tell you how it hits the paper. But I don’t think it will tell you how it has a flying bird.

Do you really think moving thr barrel amd pulling the trigger will have any eff3ct on the shot, say if using 1300 fps shells which is 6.6 metres per 10th of a second, ive heard it is impossible to have any effect aka throwing your shot, thoughts on this pls, great shot keep up the great work Matt

Not on the shot. This is more about not stopping the gun as you move to the target. The target is moving you need to keep moving. Not moving the gun on the call until you see the direction of the target is the other important factor in a successful shot.
