Hello, everybody! Let's spend some time in the TrAsH journal, dubbed "TRASH JOURNAL 2021." It's getting really full and really quite pretty! I love using food labels, bags, junk mail, etc. Then I add the usual embellishments: lace scraps, ink stamps, postage stamps, and all the other junk journal treasures.

Yours is my most favorite trash or junk journal. It gives you so much freedom it’s amazing. I was trying to make junk journals but then got into a rut of trying to make it too pretty and then getting frustrated with myself because what I was creating wasn’t “pretty enough”. Inspiration has struck... Thank you so much!! I visited Canada (from NZ) the year or so before covid happen. I collected everything. Everything. All that sentimental (literal junk in some cases) has been sitting there because I haven't wanted to put it in a journal. Because it just felt weird to do it like that. Clashed, if you understand me. But a Canada junk journal... That makes sense!

love your journal i try to put as much things like food labels and packaging in my journal i do not sew my journals or make them but i like putting just about anything in my journal. i just find that fun and cool to look back on and then it is neat to use things that would be trash

Hi Christine! Thank you so much for being here and watching! I have been keeping a "diary" for 35 years, so I was very used to writing everything down. About 12 or so years ago I started gluing things into my diaries to make more of a "smash book." It was also about that time I noticed the Stampington magazines on the magazine shelves in Barnes and Noble, so I started buying those from time to time and got very inspired by mixed media. I guess about 4 years ago (something like that) I got on KZbin to figure out how to make my own journals and I discovered a few KZbin channels: Jessica at Paper Terrace, April at Pink Odd Bird, and Liz Drake were my first inspirations. I love Old World style but also Victorian style, and gothic. I'm pretty eclectic when it comes to creating! Thanks for asking! 💜🦋🙋🏻‍♂️

Try going to a frame shop that sells posters and prints. They usually have books to look thru to make your selection. The books get updated periodically. They may give them away if you ask. I still have 2of them from when I did custom picture framing more than 25 years ago.
