It's been awhile since I've read the novel and I'm sure others can provide more detailed explanation and I may have missed a few points but from what I can remember the OG Cale is currently living in the MC's original body in the other Earth, as you may or may not remember. Kim Rok Soo's(The one acting as the current Cale) other life is also traumatic. He was basically the one who is fated to die but things changed and his friends broke the world's law and coincidences so he managed to live. Lots of time paradoxes are happening so its also a bit confusing to explain but the gist of it is that the OG Cale made a deal to the God of death and since Kim rok soo was supposedly fated to die instead of his friends but he instead lived. Due to him breaking the world's law by escaping fated death. He was chosen to be the one that is to be transmigrated. One of reason the OG Cale did that is because he has somewhat found a lead to his original birth mother in the other Earth in which Kim Rok Soo is living in and the God of Death made him a deal. TLDR: OG Cale wanted to find his birth mother, the God of death gave him a deal and he saw remnants of her original birth mother's traces in the other Earth and Kim Rok Soo, who broke the world's law by escaping his fated death was the one chosen to be transmigrated to replace OG Cale Ps: I copy pasted this so hope it’s helpful 😅 somebody else wrote this on another trash of the count family reaction 😅

I've got this opinion on tboah: Choi Han is more of a piece of shit than Og Cale, and no one talks enough abt it. He meets this noble kid, who's clearly drunk (even if he's not, he really looks like it), that might be one of the few people that knows harris village, and talks shit about it. Then Choi Han straight up beats him up, almost killing him, traumatizing him both literally and psychologically, leaving him there, taking his butler, cook, and whatever dignity he had.
