This woman’s way of being and mindset is in my opinion like this : life has defeted her , she has anxiety, she is very depressed, she looks down not up because she don’t want to be seen. And she has had enough, completely broken and fed up. I have been there for so many years so i know what kind of physical presence you have when you are just DONE with everything in your own so called existence. Just watch the video masterpiece closely, maybe you will see it. But when this happens, and the whole escapade of « I will die now» mindset kicks in, everything in her changes. She then get into « NO, i will not die, i have to keep on living» survival mode. And she changes her whole behavior, and now she can feel how precious her life is. And now she MUST survive at all costs, and save another life aswell. I can not stress it enough how genius this video is, and how deep this song/video/masterpiece goes into the human mind. This is pure emotions from beginning to end. This is just my own opinion, because i have been in her shoes and i have experienced something very similar. NF is beyond great.

Sorry for long post but if you didn't notice. I think the video is way deeper. The whole entire video not once did the girl didn't have any self preservation. Not when she's taking pills, waking up at night instead of the day, saying that her roommate is being taken advantage of the boyfriend (she's thinking about her roommate), goes to the store gets a bag of chips, candy, passing the garbage (aka behind the garbage can there is liquor), but even though she's not drinking she's still pounding energy drinks (def not healthy) every day even though she can't afford it, she doesn't stay put and keep silent or look for a exit, she could've ran out the door or find a exit instead she tackled the guy, then held at gunpoint by the boyfriend and even after he dies she reports the store manager was hurt, and the robbers are dead but yet her nose is broken and she doesn't say anything about it to the operator.

I usually like rap songs for their beat and melody, but most NF songs have such fire lyrics, I could care less about the beat and melody, but he still makes them so unique and dramatic like a trailer for a movie. They're ALWAYS amazing. Also theory: the person telling the story is NF's mom. Edit: Yo 58 likes in a day, damn, thanks!
@nicolaslillo5153 жыл бұрын
yo that theory is fire but in twitter, he said nothing of this was real and that it was an idea that him and Tomee came up with

Rap songs for their melody. Ahahaha, hilarious.
@Flash4ML3 жыл бұрын
Andreas Lingsch Yes for their beat and melody. Have you listened to any Hip-Hop lol, Post Malone, Juice WRLD, Iann Dior, Boogie wit da Hoodie, dozens upon dozens of others. All raps have a beat, and most have a melody, so idk what you’re on suggesting that they don’t

I think NF is still completely underrated after all this time, I barely hear anyone talk about how talented he is. He is a clever lyricist who also doesn't swear which is refreshing to hear. Nice reaction by the way, I like your personality. This music video was mental like it was just on the cusp of not being too dark but was exciting and enticing at the same time. Amazing.

Depends, Not all rap is art. Some of it or most i should say is just shit talk and nonsense.

yeah that is so true for both of you, like lil pump and all those mumble shit dudes make rap into a joke. It's kinda sad lol. But yeah just to clarify, I know that not all rap is art, but NF is definitely good at making it evident that rap is. He and Eminem are goats.

2:20 “I need to get cigarettes, anything that help my mind stay” I used to hate smokers and some of my friends still do but after I started smoking I realised how important they are to us to keep ourselves together. I’ve tried many different drugs, alcohol, pseudo-medicine like lions mane pills which help a little but when the professionals won’t help you, have to find your own help and cigs do it the best without getting you intoxicated
