You have a way of making us feel like you're not sure about what something's going to look like when it's finished but your projects are ALWAYS awesome. The trunk is beautiful and has inspired me to take a look at an old one we have out in the garage. It hasn't been touched in years but I am hoping it can be refurbished as nicely as yours. I love the candle idea and like to repurpose what might otherwise be tossed. What a lovely idea! I'm amazed at how the stool turned out. I'm not sure I could do as well with that, but we actually have a couple of old desk chairs that look much like yours before the transformation. We'll see! You are an inspiration!

I love that you aim to find a purpose for everything, Mary. People I worked with used to say to me "Oh, you're so creative!", but I'd reply that I'm not really, I just make the most of what I have. I never would have thought of reusing pet food tins for handmade candles, but I do use the 825g (appx 30oz) Fruit Salad tins for storing paint brushes, pens, coloured pencils etc. Once the tins are washed & thoroughly dried, I paint them white on the inside & teal on the outside, so they look all cute & fresh :)

recently inherited my Dad's Navy trunk (circa 1946) and immediately thought of this "trunk repurpose" video you did. the hardware is not in the best shape and so I'm thinking of painting it all black, adding casters like you did and then cleaning up the lining by mod podging all his actual Navy papers. love your videos. you are truly inspirational. on my most productive days, I don't come close, but I sometimes envision myself in "fast forward" mode. LOL look forward to Wednesdays to see what new ideas you have and how you inspire me to use what I have and turn it into something I love! thank you!

I love your ideas. Your things turned out fabulous, loved them. When I got married several years ago on a budget, I saved cans the size of yours from tuna and chicken. Washed, cleaned, sprayed white and used to hold my large pale pink candles. They were the same size around but 3 different heights. They looked beautiful. I also glued on white seed pearls in a small heart pattern.

That old trunk would be a throw-away to most, but you transformed it into something anyone would like. I loved your bathroom floor and it works so well on this trunk too. Great job! I recently purchased small fragrant candles to give as a token xmas gift that looked so similar to the cat can candles you made. It cost me around $18. for 4 little candles..... All one needs is the time, energy and inventiveness that you have to reproduce your creativity. No wonder you have so many 'likes' and members.

I have a few or 4 or 5 of them myself. They smell beautiful. Really enjoyed this today.
