Gosh! I subscribed mostly for your fantastic personality. Plus, the potholder - of course. You're right, people love, love, love simple, handmade stuff as gifts. Good for you to find treasure under your feet and turning $0.25 jeans into such a wonderful idea. I upcycle sew and find so many wonderful things to re-create.

@@bethanyatbarnstarpainting since hubby is chief cook and bottle washer at our house, I made them to fit his hands. LOL I "donated" the kitchen and all its contents to him years ago, and haven't looked back. I do the other household chores so he can concentrate on cooking. See. when we got married, it was marriage made in heaven, cuz he likes to cook and I like to eat. LOL

Exactly what materials can i used in between those fabrics to resistance heat?
@sharonjones713811 ай бұрын
Everything in a potholder should be cotton…fabric, thread, batting. Fleece is polyester and can ignite if exposed to heat or flames.
@carolinerohloff9 күн бұрын
Do you think cotton/denim is non flammable? Cause it isn’t!

In 2 decades I’ve never had them melt. I dropped one in the oven once…it burned a big hole right through the entire potholder but it didn’t start on fire. Lol Use whatever batting you’d feel safe with. This is just how I do it. 😊
