I love your rug.... Beautiful Let me give you another thought about painting rugs.... Remember about Floorcloths??? Take a Painter's Drop Cloth (8 - 10 oz. Duck fabric) Buy it Harbor Freight or Lowe's etc... it will already be hem' Use exterior house paint or just plain acrylic... it is thicker... sand it then put a couple of coats of Poly on it... BEAUTIFUL... Look up Floorcloths on ETSY...

I only found you because i woke up in the middle of the night heart burn so I’ve been sipping Apple cider vinegar, but I want to paint a rug that someone just gave me. I think you rug looks beautiful! I will look into that paint but I definitely will not do that pattern. Way too tedious and I have company coming on Thursday. That looks like a very tight weave and I have a softer type. How long does it take to dry? DIY paint where do I buy it?? how expensive is it? There is a cool flower pattern but I just want to white wash it . I still have heartburn, had a turkey burger with green peppers and onions last night. I don’t know Dr. Berg recommended on KZbin Apple Cider vinegar. I might try baking soda in a few minutes. I’m living a place DIY which I’ve been doing for 50 years. I’ve always done that kind of stuff!

@Shyeena7 жыл бұрын
Simply Handmade she said a week. She's dedicated! It took me a week on one project- ONCE- I discovered I lose my creative punch on any ONE LONG term project so never Again- I hate that feeling of "I just want to get done and move on!" That's when it's like a job 😝
@lblincoe20943 жыл бұрын
I know this is an old comment, so my reply may have no relevance anymore 😆 BUT I feel the same way you do! I start getting impatient when I'm on one project for too long, it makes me sloppy, and then I lose inspiration... But, I've learned that if I have 2 or 3 long term projects simultaneously running side by side, and I can freely bounce back and forth between them when I feel inspired to work on whichever particular one, instead of feeling tied down like "I can't move on until this is complete!" that I don't burn out on these larger type of projects and I'm always happy with how they turn out. I know some people might feel disorganized and overwhelmed having so much up in the air at once like that, but as long as there's no deadline to rush me, I feel the variety keeps the work fresh and let's me commit more to longer term projects. Just an idea that could maybe help you out, if you ever want to consider tackling a larger project again 😉
