Trash to Treasure - Junk Journal Play Project

Junk Journals are the greatest excuse to save all the packaging, ephemera from trips and holidays or just somewhere to put all your scraps. Its also the heart of recycling for me plus a very thrifty way to craft.
I truly hope you are having fun getting your #unfinished projects done or at least finding 30 mins a week to work on them 🩷

Carol, I watched your snippet sewing video when Snowbell was ill but I didn't realize she had passed. I'm so sorry, I know your heart is broken. Thank you for being such a good mom to Snowbell and for giving her the best life she could ever have! I will be praying that over time the pain will ease, but for right now it's important for you to grieve your loss. I love watching you work in this journal because it's so carefree and unstructured play! 🩷🩷🩷

I would be very interested in the war journals. My family was very involved in WWI and WWII. I truly appreciate any Memoriam on the Wars. Young people today don't even know about the Poppies and Flanders Field.

I'm so very sorry to hear about Snowbell! I know how much she meant to you and it was pretty obvious that she loved you as well! Sometimes we need to just work mindless projects where we don't have to think or plan too much. Tonight I worked on a masterboard that I've been working on and off with for awhile. TFS 😊

I love this chocolate box journal!! Still working on a couple things making slow progress. Forgive me if I get a little behind. A backyard dog breeder was busted yesterday evening, 160+ dogs, all sorts and conditions. My sister and I does dog fostering for a rescue group. We have been put on alert, our rescue is taking all the Chihuahuas, Pomeranians and other small dogs. We don't know how may yet, there are 16 fosters and a couple of other rescues spreading the love. Please pray for us and wish us well.

Bless you thank you for looking after all the dogs you and your sister are doing such a worthwhile thing ! 160 is a huge amount of dogs saved, these breeders are awful. You do what you have to do I’ll see you soon 😁💗

Hi, Carol! I was on a roll this weekend, so I watched this video twice! 😊 While you made fun things for this journal, I cross-stitched on one of my “homework list” projects. It is creeping closer towards actually getting finished. Yay! I will send a photo when I have it done. In your video, I really liked when you talked about, and showed, the pages you wanted to change because you weren’t happy with them. This helps me, to see your thought process and what you decided to change about them. We don’t have to give up on something or feel frustrated if a part of it gives us difficulties. A good lesson for me! 😃 My favorite part was when you painted the large heart cut-out shape. What fun! Cheers from Lynn in Hallsville, Missouri USA

Here I am again for more enjoyment. One day I must join you and try slow sewing although I quilt doing everything by hand one stitch at a time which is similar to slow stitching. Greetings from New Zealand.
