TRASH TO TREASURE PROJECT! FRENCH COUNTRY SHABBY CHIC FARMHOUSE DECOR PIECES (145)

In this video I transform 3 ornate, metal, tin ceiling tiles. My father-in-law acquired these from an old building in Tennessee. I repurpose each one using chalk paint and the candle wax distressing method. I then embellish each one using shabby chic, farmhouse embellishments I create. I show how to make an easy burlap box, rosette flowers using twine, fabric scraps and drop cloth. I also show how to create a shabby chic collage of assorted pieces using some items from Dollar Tree mixed in with some vintage style keys, ribbons and free printables. I use a candle I purchased from Dollar Tree for the wax distressing method and I paint the ceiling tins with Rustoleum Chiffon Cream chalk paint. I printed all my printables onto regular printer paper from the Graphics Fairy website. These projects were very inexpensive and easy to make. They will make great embellishments for lots of decor pieces or crafts to add that shabby chic farmhouse stye and detail! These tins would also beautiful displayed hanging up as wall decor. You could easily add a wire, bead or twine hanger to the back and interchange the decor pieces by adding magnets.
I stage all the pieces showing the many ways they can dress up any space in your home and bring out that French Country Shabby Farmhouse flare! Teresa, I love this video! I bet I've watched it a dozen times! Would you put a hanger on the tin ceiling tiles, or just use them as shelf sitters? How do they stand up? I just painted one but painted the rusty side....guess it doesn't matter except when distressing its brownish! Oh well, I still love it.
