With regards to sushi restaurants banning cologne/perfume, I completely agree with the restaurant. Strong scents absolutely can ruin a restaurant's ambience, when I worked in a coffee shop we were not allowed to use cologne/perfume at all cause they would clash with the smell of the coffee. Smell and taste are very closely related so it makes sense that they don't want anything that'll potentially interfere with the intended flavor profile an establishment wants to cultivate.
@kennethnielsen9352 ай бұрын
I’ve heard a great explanation before that flavor is a function of taste, smell, sight, touch, and to the smallest degree sound. As such it can be tailored and controlled. It’s a wonderful emergent property that is greater than the sum of its parts ☺️🤤

Fun fact about the polish anime Garnt talked about! its based on a real person named Nicolas Copernicus who is one of the first people(behind Aristarchus of Samos) to advocate for the heliocentric model(Sun center of universe). He lived around the same time in Poland as the anime takes place in. Hes deemed as the father of modern astronomy
@derekskelton41872 ай бұрын
He was in fact Prussian which was a Polish vassal at the time, and amusingly the church was the primary supporter of his work as they were of a lot of science at the time. It was several decades later when they had another period of science is bad they started going after his stuff, but by then he had already passed on. Funnily enough he probably spent more time on medicine than astronomy, but Renaissance scientists just did a little bit of everything

Those debt relief companies are predatory and they give you the worst advice. They want you to stop paying your bills, let them go into collections, send them money every month, then when you’ve sent enough to pay off one of the debt they’ll pay it for you. Additionally, you’ll start getting tons of spam calls from other debt “relief” companies. There are better ways to eliminate debt. If everything is in collections anyway you can just set up a payment plan with the collector or save money yourself.

Fries and gravy sure, but... the first poutine was generally in French households in 1950's but first served in a restaurant in 1964. It is a Canadian dish and a true poutine is made with Cheese curds. Like Britain always claiming something that's theirs (it's not). If that is the case.. Canadians made battered fish and chips -_- and Britain has stolen it from us (Joking of course). Other Canadian foods that you should try next time you are here are 1. Beaver tails, 2. Maple Syrup on snow! We have a lot diverse food because we are very multi-cultural and most of our food is meat and potato's or fish and chips since its most of our heritage from Irish, British and German decedents.

The difference between getting jumpscared and something is actually scary is that jumpscares startle you but not scare you. Something scary is the tension that is built between a scene. Like the game cry of fear has a chase scene where the cutscene shows the guy who’s about to chase you. What makes it scary is the music and the sound effects that play as it gets louder and louder almost like they are right behind you. Most horror movies do suck and don’t get this right so I understand that. I honestly would recommend horror movies that deal with some kind of home invasion or something along those lines. The closer to reality is, the better.

The time i got scared watching animation is when i watch Memories : Magnetic rose. Not only the ship it self is scary, you always expect jump scare but not getting it. It gives you this creepy feeling
